Finding the Blessing

This is something that happened to me the other day.

It was my first time making this west indian (cruising) dish. The americans call it a patty. Whatever, i was making it from scratch which meant i had to make dough for the first time. Well I had my aunt on the phone instructing me on what to do, and the whole time all i could think is if this get messed up all of the dish is going to be pretty shitty tasting. I voiced my concern to her and she just replied, "Don't worry Sean it's going to taste fine." I don't know why but that gave me the much needed confidence to just go ahead with it. Needless to say the dish did come out just fine. I should have baked them instead of frying them (gotta watch my health man, i plan on being here to make a positive change for a while).
I guess with all of that said the morale of the story is. Keep working at what your working at. Don't worry in the end it's going to work out just fine. I needed to hear that probably as much as you did. And if you didn't need to hear it then good stuff, keep at it. It can only get better.

On the flip side, if it's time to quit. then do what you must. A dead horse wins no races. There will be other things that will keep you moving, you know?

Be blessed, give love, You are loved. Even when you can't see it or feel it.
